Privacy Policy for AddonSmith

AddonSmith ("the app", "we", "us") is a tool that lets you create Minecraft: Bedrock Edition add-ons (custom blocks, items, and mobs) and export them as .mcaddon files. This policy explains what information the app handles and how. By using AddonSmith you agree to this policy.

AddonSmith is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with Mojang AB or Microsoft. Minecraft is a trademark of Mojang AB.

Information we handle

• Your creations (stored on your device). The add-ons, textures, and settings you create are saved locally on your device. They are not sent to us unless you choose to publish them (see "Community Showcase" below).
• Advertising data. The app shows ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect a device advertising identifier, IP address, and general app-usage and device information to serve and measure ads. See Google's policy linked below.
• Community Showcase (optional). If you choose to publish an add-on to the in-app Showcase, the add-on file, its title, and a randomly generated device identifier are uploaded to our hosting provider so others can browse and download it. Don't upload anything you don't want to be public.
• Optional account (email/password or Google). You can create an optional account — either with an email address and password, or by signing in with your Google account — to sync your work across devices. When you do, we collect your email address and a display name (and basic Google profile info if you use Google sign-in), used only to run your account and sync your work. Your password is handled securely by our authentication provider and is never stored by us. An account is optional; the app works fully without one.

We do not collect your precise location, and we do not sell your personal information.

How we use information

• To run the app and save your creations on your device.
• To show and measure ads (via Google AdMob).
• To publish and display add-ons you choose to share in the Showcase.
• To sync your work if you opt in to sign-in.
• To keep the service safe and fix problems.

Third-party services

The app relies on these providers, each with its own privacy policy:

• Google AdMob / Google Play services — policies.google.com/privacy
• Supabase (hosting for the Showcase and optional sign-in) — supabase.com/privacy

Data retention and deletion

Creations stored on your device remain until you delete them or uninstall the app. Add-ons you publish to the Showcase remain until removed.

You can request deletion of specific data (for example, a published add-on) at any time without deleting your account, or request full deletion of your account and all associated data — just email us at the address below and we'll take care of it. We respond to deletion requests within a reasonable time.

Children's privacy

AddonSmith is intended for users aged 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll remove it.

Security

Data transmitted to our providers is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
